LANGUAGE

This video includes the voices of three women, Dorna Khazini, Isabella Bozolli and Anne Watson, reading a short story woven around excerpts from "The Little Prince."  It creates a mesmerizing exploration into language, and what we need to understand what is spoken.  Sometimes the viewer finds herself understanding a language she doesn't speak.

MAKING TALES

Filmed in 16mm film in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, and in Battery Park, New York City, with a 14-month-old girl and an
"African-American/European-American Alice in Wonderland" marionette, MAKING TALES is about creation.  A child's voice reads an Aboriginal Dreamtime creation story and a woman's voice reads a Lewis Carroll poem as narration.

PLACES

A child/angel guides us through urban environments in this video about innocence, vulnerability and other-worldliness in the very real, concrete world we have created.  The piece was filmed in Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver, BC.

SHROUD

This installation includes four simultaneously playing videos, one projected and three on monitors facing each other.  The three monitors contain multiple interviews, strung back to back and uncut, with people who have lost a family member.  The projected video (pictured here) relays the artist's ideas about death and dying.

I  DO

This video symbolizes the marriage of earth to air and water and of the artist to her own death.  It was filmed at the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
