I'LL NEVER BE SO FAR AWAY

Sequestered in the studio over a nine month period after my mother’s death, I worked solely on these drawings and supporting writings.  I restricted the size of each drawing to approximately 17 inches square. Some of the materials I used will disappear with time, as do the thoughts and emotions associated with loss. The installation includes over 200 drawings, each numbered, installed in sequence and hung so viewers may walk within them.  The piece was first exhibited at the Salt Lake Art Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, as part of a show entitled, “Transcendence.”
